| Submissions for NIF 2026 are now closed! Thank you for all the interest this year- if you submitted, please keep an eye on your email inbox in the coming months for any communications from the NIF team. |
COMICS VENDORS

Submissions for 2026 vendors were open from September 1st and closed on October 1st at 2:59PM ET.
The Nib & Ink Fest Marketplace is curated by the NIF Submissions Team and includes comics for sale, a free Sampler featuring preview pages of webcomics, and a fundraiser zine called Oops All Comics! featuring one-page comics created for a specific theme.
All comics offered in the Marketplace are created by members of the Cartoonist Cooperative, and only Co-op members are invited to submit their work each year to the fest. However, we welcome any interested cartoonist to join the Co-op to participate in NIF!
We welcome comic submissions from current members of the Cartoonist Cooperative with at least a 3+ month membership or a commitment to volunteer in some capacity within the following year (such as on a committee) if you’ve been a member for less than 3 months. Co-op members will receive an email with the vendor application links when submissions open on September 1st.
Prospective members can learn more about us and the benefits of being a Cartoonist Cooperative member yourself here!
EVENTS programming
Submissions for 2026 events were open from September 1st and closed on October 1st at 2:59PM ET.
Anyone is welcome to submit a proposal for a NIF event, but your event should feature at least one Cartoonist Cooperative member to be considered for NIF programming. Our events team is happy to provide assistance with matching Co-op members with submissions, if your programming proposal is approved.
Event ideas of pretty much all kinds (craft-related, business-related, casual hangouts, readings, workshops, etc.) are welcome, as long as they relate to comics in some way, and the NIF Events Team is also particularly eager for submissions related to:
- Labor rights and organizing
- Comics history
- All things webcomics
- Events for younger audiences
- Events with speakers and/or time-zones outside the US!
- Casual hangout events such as art games, mixers, etc.
Events will go through a bit more of a curation process this year, so put your best foot forward! We’re looking for unique proposals, specialized knowledge, and fleshed-out concepts among other factors.
Our review period is expected to be between October to November. Depending on the number of proposals we receive, though, this may be adjusted slightly, but rest assured that you will receive an email notifying you of your acceptance or rejection once the review period is complete!
Check out our form for more details– we can’t wait to hear from you!
Have a question? Take a look at our Frequently Asked Questions page or email us at fest@cartoonist.coop and we’ll try to get back to you as soon as we can!
