Transformative Fancomics as a Place for Experimentation

May 17 @ 6:00 pm7:00 pm EDT

A graphic announcing "Transformative Fancomics as a Place for Experimentation" for the Nib and Ink Fest 2025 on May 17th, 2025 at 6:00 PM EST on Zoom featuring panelist Alexis Rippen, Spicyyeti, and Max Banshees. The panel description reads, "Three creators talk about their experiences with transitioning their experimental fancomics into original work. Spicyyeti will be telling you why every artist should just start publishing their comics on their own websites, and going through his process for more experimental webcomics between both fan (Jade Route, Y12k) and original (Godhead) projects. Max Banshees will be focusing on zines and cyanotypes, discussing the challenges and influences of collaborating with other fanartists across country lines. Alexis Rippen will be talking up self publishing and self education: the world is at your fingertips and you can write and print and distribute whatever you want. " An anthropomorphic inkwell and an anthropomorphic both holding comic pages decorate the graphic.
